OzLaptops Condition & Grading Guide
Refurbished computers have had a previous life, so some cosmetic signs of use are normal.
Our grading system describes the physical appearance of the computer. All grades are tested for normal operation before sale.
Excellent Condition
Our highest standard for refurbished equipment.
Excellent Condition devices may show very light signs of previous use but are generally clean and well presented.
You may notice:
-
Very light marks or scratches
-
Minor signs of handling
-
Minimal wear to the keyboard or casing
There should be no significant cosmetic damage affecting the overall appearance or operation of the computer.
Best for: Customers who want a refurbished computer that presents very well.
Good Condition
Good Condition devices are fully functional but may show more noticeable signs of previous use.
You may notice:
-
Light scratches or scuffs
-
Minor marks on the casing
-
Normal keyboard or palm-rest wear
-
Small cosmetic imperfections
These signs of use do not affect the normal operation of the computer.
Best for: Customers looking for a balance between appearance and value.
Value Condition
Value Condition devices are fully functional but may have more visible cosmetic wear.
You may notice:
-
Noticeable scratches or scuffs
-
Marks or wear to the casing
-
Small dents or other cosmetic imperfections
-
More obvious signs of previous business use
Any significant cosmetic issue will be described on the product page where practical.

About Batteries
Laptop batteries are tested for normal operation before sale.
Because batteries are consumable components, battery runtime can vary depending on the age of the device, previous usage, software, screen brightness and power settings.
Screens
Minor cosmetic marks that do not affect normal use may be present on refurbished devices.
Any more noticeable screen issue should be identified in the product description where applicable.
Important
Cosmetic grading describes appearance only. It does not indicate a difference in processor, memory, storage or other specifications unless clearly stated on the individual product page.
